About The Company
Founded in 2026, Circus Stage Management has a goal to educate, support, and inspire stage managers to lead safely and confidently in the high-stakes world of circus performance. My teaching model focuses on ways to effectively learn material and adapt to various learning styles. My passion is to mentor and inspire my students to follow their dreams and achieve their goals while supporting their journey along the way. I am invested in the success of every single student and hope to be an instrumental part of their journey.
About The Instructor
I have been stage managing since I was 13. It all began in community theatre where I was given the gift of developing the skills and passion for stage management in an environment where pushing boundaries and making mistakes were not only supported, but encouraged. My career continued to blossom when I began theatre school in Toronto. It was mandatory to take courses in all disciplines of theatre, which I believe made me a stronger stage manager.

In 2012, I moved to New York City to study a Masters in Stage Management at Columbia University. Broadway was our classroom. Our professors were working professionals and it was a phenomenal learning experience. My goal while living there was to say yes to everything I possibly could. Every job, every shadowing opportunity, every interview; I took it all in. I first had a glimpse into immersive theatre with Sleep No More and Queen of the Night. The circus elements in Queen of the Night and Vicki Shenk are actually who I owe credit to inspiring me to pursing a career with Cirque du Soleil. After that experience the rest is history!

I worked in Las Vegas first as an intern for Zumanity, then hired as an Assistant Stage Manager. After Vegas I went on tour and worked on Varekai, Toruk: The First Flight, and Crystal. In 2015 I started teaching at a conference in Toronto called, SM for the Arts. I continued to teach there for 3 more years (including this year). I was also a Contract Lecturer at Toronto Metropolitan University (formally Ryerson University) for 2 years, teaching circus stage management. I have guest lectured at Universities and have mentored students all over the world.
Travelling and working in all corners of the planet was a dream come true. After COVID, I decided to end my touring career, focus on teaching and growing a family. Fast forward a few years I'm now living in Denmark with my family and starting this business. I'm looking forward to where this next journey will take me. If you've gotten this far, thanks for coming along for the ride!
